Thai Sock Co., Ltd. is a private company founded on the 29th March 1964 by Mr. Vichai Vichaiwatanapanich and
his son Tongchai Vichaiwatanapanich with a capital of 50 Million Baht. Today, Thai Sock Co., Ltd., with a registered capital of 150 Million Baht has become the largest sock manufacturer in Thailand and one of the leading Asian sock suppliers. With over 700 computerized sock knitting machines and 1,200 employees, Thai Sock’s production capacity is exceeding 3 million pairs per month, generating a turnover of US$ 25 Million a year.
Thai Sock Co., Ltd. makes more than just socks. In our own modern equipped dye house we dye various yarn kinds as well as finished knit socks and our yarn texturizing facility is just another asset making Thai Sock what it is; a sock manufacturer providing know-how, flexibility and an almost unlimited product range responding to your needs.

On the 2nd June 2005, Thai Sock Co., Ltd. got ISO 9001:2000 certified and has maintained this certification through annual audits.
Thai Sock Co., Ltd. is now aiming for ISO 14001:2004 to demonstrate its commitment to environmental responsibility.

Factory Audits
Thai Sock Co., Ltd. is audited several times a year by its customers, or by independent audit firms on behalf of its customers, to assure continuous compliance with standards and requirements regarding Ethics, Environment, Safety and Health.
F.R.E.S.H. Policy Thai Sock Co., Ltd. has its own F.R.E.S.H. Policy declaring its guidelines and visions regarding its business operation and attitude towards its employees.
Fair to employees • Thai Sock guarantees respect and equality towards employees, regardless of race, creed, age, gender, marital status, sexual orientation, social origin, religion, political affiliation, or union membership. • Thai Sock guarantees no employment of minors, respectively no employment of people aged below 18 years. • Thai Sock guarantees a work place where there is dignity and respect, free from any form of forced labor, harassment, abuse or corporal punishment. • Thai Sock guarantees compensation that is respectful of basic needs and meeting or exceeding legal minimums. • Thai Sock guarantees workweeks of 48 hours, with a limit of 12 hours overtime per week and one day off for every six days worked. • Thai Sock guarantees overtime to be paid at a premium rate according to Thai labor law. Healthy • Thai Sock promotes the health of its workers and employees by designing work places accordingly. • Thai Sock provides a 24 hour 7 days nursing room with qualified medical personnel available to all workers and employees free of charge. • Thai Sock offers a thorough annual medical check to all employees Employee committee / Welfare committee • In accordance with Thai labor law, Thai Sock has a worker/employee committee also acting as welfare committee. • The committee consists of 5 workers/employees selected by a factory wide election in which every worker and employee regardless of position or employment time with the company has one vote. • Elect able are those employees nominated as candidates on the election list • Any worker/employee regardless of position or employment time with the company can run for election by subscribing the election candidate list. • The election candidate list is open for subscription for 7 days after announcement by the personnel department. • An election is held every two years. • In case a member of the committee resigns from the company or dismisses his membership, the candidate with the next highest score that was not elected during the election round will be selected as replacement. • The committee will meet every 3 months to discuss their topics • The meeting is attended by the Head of Human Resource Department and the Assistant Managing Director. • Human Resource and Management will consider issues and suggestions raised by the committee and be in charge of taking appropriate action to resolve issues or execute suggestions as far as they are considered appropriate. Grievance Procedures • In accordance with Company’s policies and customer requirements, Thai Sock has set-up and maintains a grievance system. • A grievance/suggestion box is available at three spots in the factory, which are the Canteen, Yarn Texturizing and Knitting. • The grievance/suggestion boxes can be used by any worker/employee regardless of position or employment time with the company. • The grievance/suggestion boxes are emptied every 15th and 30th of each month by the human resource department. • The Human Resource Manager summarizes the data collected and submits it to the Managing Director for evaluation. • Human resource department will answer the grievances by publicizing on the company’s information board the summarized data and the answers to them according to Managing Director’s instructions/decisions.
